I moved to Bedford Stuyvesant in 1983, and have loved Brooklyn since the first day I got out of the subway and saw Montrose Morris' Alhambra Apartments. I've been reading Brownstoner since 2005, writing for it since 2009. My interests are architecture, history and communities. I am also an ardent preservationist, and in real life belong to several preservation societies.
